Position Overview
Development Directions LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern currently
pursuing a degree in Accounting or Public Administration. This internship provides an
opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public housing administration, financial data
management, and compliance processes. The selected candidate will assist with data
migration, financial record review, and administrative support tasks essential to program
operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Transfer and input financial and participant data from legacy systems into the new
system (Excel to PHA Web)
• Review participant bank statements and asset documentation for accuracy and
compliance
• Assist staff in preparing documentation for fair hearings and annual recertifications
• Verify data integrity and identify discrepancies in records
• Maintain confidentiality and organization of sensitive financial information
• Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in
Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
