We are seeking a motivated Marketing Intern to help drive our social media presence and digital marketing efforts.
Job Description:
The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence, drive product commercialization, and enable clear channel for internal and external communications. This role plays a key part in managing projects such as product commercialization, sales manager communications, website/catalog updates, and social media engagement. The position requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple marketing activities simultaneously across teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Catalog Project Management:
- Lead the revamp of company catalogs to include new products, updated designs, and specialized editions (restaurant-centric, C-store centric, coffee brewers centric, etc.). Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Buying Group Promotion Management:
- Manage marketing programs and newsletters for key buying group partners. Maintain and organize group member lists and ensure consistent communication and brand alignment.
- Broker and Customer Marketing Program Contracts:
- Maintain and update marketing program contracts, including rebate agreements and promotional terms for buying groups, brokers, and customers. Track contract timelines, ensure documentation accuracy, and coordinate with internal departments to support renewals and compliance.
- Website Revamp and Updates:
- Coordinate website redesign projects and ongoing content updates. Work with internal teams and design vendors to refresh visuals, improve usability, and ensure brand consistency.
- Sales Meetings and Follow-Ups:
- Support sales meetings through the preparation of materials and post-meeting follow-ups. Educate sales teams on product strategies, manage broker evaluations, and track the progress of sales projects and pipelines.
- Sell Sheets and Marketing Materials:
- Collaborate with marketing agencies to create sell sheets and promotional materials. Respond to ad hoc requests from sales representatives for custom marketing collateral.
- Commercialization and Certification Projects:
- Manage communication, file organization, and project timelines for product commercialization initiatives. Ensure effective collaboration between cross-functional departments. Work with internal teams and external research labs/organization to apply for product certifications like BPI, CalRecycle, and more.
- Trade Show and Event Planning:
- Research and plan participation in relevant industry trade shows and internal sales meetings. Prepare and coordinate marketing materials, displays, and promotional items. Manage logistics and travel onsite to setup and ensure successful event execution & brand representation.
- RFPs and Award Implementations:
- Support new RFP processes by gathering required information, preparing submission materials, and coordinating with internal departments. Assist in tracking awarded projects, managing timelines, and ensuring smooth implementation and communication across teams.
- Social Media Management:
- Oversee the company’s LinkedIn account. Plan and post regular updates, track engagement, and identify opportunities for lead generation through targeted campaigns.
- Online Reviews Management:
- Monitor and respond to online reviews to maintain brand reputation. Track feedback trends and coordinate internal actions to resolve issues or highlight positive customer experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 1 years of experience in marketing, project coordination, or related roles.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, and Square Space.
- Experience managing websites, social media accounts, and vendor relationships preferred.
- Strong communication skills—able to present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
