ACCOUNTING INTERN – Newark, NJ
McCarter & English, LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a professional legal services environment. If you have relevant experience, we would like you to consider joining our team. The pay rate for this position is $25 per hour for a 20-25 hour work week. Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process expense reimbursements
- Reconcile credit card transactions
- Work on Sales and Use Tax Reporting
- Work on Trust Transactions and Cash Application
- Perform data entry and general administrative tasks as needed
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
