At RDH Architects, you’ll gain insight into an award-winning architectural practice with a focus on intelligent, concept-driven design. The studio’s work spans a diverse range of public and institutional projects, including libraries, educational facilities, recreation centres, transit facilities and civic buildings.
Depending on your interests and the needs of your host organization, your internship could involve supporting architectural research, developing design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, researching materials and contributing to project documentation.
You’ll also gain experience working within a collaborative design environment. RDHA emphasizes thoughtful, concept-driven architecture alongside the technical and managerial expertise needed to deliver complex projects successfully.

Cost and funding
Our program fees include your accommodation while you’re abroad and a range of exciting extras like social events within a vibrant community, career success coaching, and much more.
The fees for these services vary depending on your program type and start date, starting from $1,190 USD for our remote program and $2,990 USD for our in-person programs. You can easily explore detailed costs on our website – plus, we’ve got funding alternatives to help you plan.
Once accepted, you’ll need to secure your spot with a deposit equal to £800 in your destination’s currency. The rest of the program fee is split into two installments.
Many of our participants have offset their costs with scholarships or grants. If you’re a U.S. college student receiving a Pell Grant, you’re eligible for a $500 discount on our In-Person and Digital Nomad programs.
Responsibilities
Some responsibilities that you may have whilst completing this Architecture internship program include:
- Support architects with research and early-stage design development.
- Assist with architectural drawings, plans, elevations and presentations.
- Develop and refine design concepts in collaboration with the project team.
- Research materials, building systems, precedents and architectural trends.
- Create visual materials, diagrams, models or other design assets.
- Assist with preparing project documentation and presentation materials.
- Contribute to site, contextual and planning research.
- Support the development of architectural proposals and client presentations.
- Collaborate with architects, designers and other professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help review and organize project information and documentation.

Start dates & time commitment
Start dates are available every month of the year, and program length can be anywhere from 4 to 24 weeks depending on the type of program. You can find a complete list of available start dates on our website.
- In-person programs usually demand a full-time commitment for your internship (40 hours a week).
- Remote and Digital Nomad programs can be full-time (40 hours a week) or part-time (10, 20 or 30 hours a week).
