Overview
Turn your interest in politics and public affairs into practical experience with an international Government & Politics internship.
The Advance Group’s internship program provides an opportunity to learn about political consulting and campaigns from the ground up. Depending on your interests, you may gain exposure to areas including lobbying, political campaigns, communications, fundraising, advocacy, nonprofit work, research and event management.
Interns who demonstrate their abilities may have opportunities to interact directly with clients, gaining insight into the day-to-day work of political consulting and building valuable professional relationships. Previous TAG interns have gone on to careers with elected officials, think tanks, media organizations, nonprofits and government agencies.
Our program supports your professional development through hands-on experience, career success coaching and guidance from industry professionals. Build a competitive edge by developing in-demand skills while gaining an international perspective on government and politics.
Cost and funding
Our program fees include your accommodation while you’re abroad and a range of exciting extras like social events within a vibrant community, career success coaching, and much more.
The fees for these services vary depending on your program type and start date, starting from $1,190 USD for our remote program and $2,990 USD for our in-person programs. You can easily explore detailed costs on our website – plus, we’ve got funding alternatives to help you plan.
Once accepted, you’ll need to secure your spot with a deposit equal to £800 in your destination’s currency. The rest of the program fee is split into two installments.
